SourceLink connects buyers with verified U.S. manufacturers. The practices below exist so both sides can transact with confidence — from the first quote to the final delivery.

Verified suppliers

Every supplier on SourceLink claims a company profile tied to a real business. Companies that complete verification — including business identity, accepted Stripe Connect onboarding for payouts, and matching contact information — display a verified badge in search results and on their profile.

Buyers can filter to verified suppliers only. Reviewing a supplier’s plan tier, response rate, average response time, and on-time delivery rate gives an objective signal of how the business actually operates — not just how they market themselves.

Buyer-protected payments, secured by Stripe

When a buyer places an order, the payment is processed through Stripe and held by Stripe — not by SourceLink, not by the supplier. The supplier only receives payout after the buyer confirms delivery, or automatically five business days after the order is marked delivered if the buyer takes no action.

Card details, bank information, and payout routing are handled entirely by Stripe. SourceLink never sees or stores raw payment data. Stripe is PCI Service Provider Level 1 certified, the highest level available.

Transparent fees, no hidden charges

Platform fees are shown to buyers and suppliers before any order is placed. The fee percentage depends on the supplier’s plan tier — Free is 8%, Standard is 6%, and Premium is 4%, with a $2 minimum per order. The buyer pays the quoted total; the supplier receives the total minus the platform fee.

Every invoice and receipt itemizes the platform fee and supplier payout separately, so both sides can see exactly where each dollar went.

Verified reviews tied to real orders

Reviews on SourceLink can only be left by buyers who have completed and confirmed delivery of a real order. There is no way to leave a review without first paying for and receiving work from the supplier. Each review includes a star rating (1-5), an optional written response, and an on-time-delivery answer that feeds the supplier’s aggregate on-time rate.

Reviews cannot be deleted by either party once posted — they form a permanent, audit-able record of how a supplier has performed.

Diversity certifications, third-party verified

Supplier-diversity badges (MBE, WBE, Veteran-Owned, SDVOSB, LGBTBE, Disability-Owned) are verified against each certifying body’s public registry before going live. Only verified, non-expired certifications display to buyers — expired certifications are automatically hidden until the supplier uploads a renewed document.

SBE (Small Business) status is shown as a self-declared attestation rather than a verified badge, with the supplier’s NAICS code and attestation date visible to buyers.

Disputes and refunds

If something goes wrong with an order, buyers can request cancellation and the supplier can approve a partial or full refund through the order detail page. For unresolved disputes, SourceLink provides mediation support.

For Stripe-initiated chargebacks, evidence is compiled from the order’s contract, delivery proof, and order activity timeline.

Data privacy

Personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. We collect only what we need to operate the marketplace, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@sourcelinkapp.com.
